Jordan, Turkey to enhance ties between small- and medium-sized projects

AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and the Turkish Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organisation on Wednesday signed an agreement to enhance cooperation between small- and medium-sized projects in both countries. JEDCO Chief Executive Officer Yarub Qudah said the agreement seeks to increase the exchange of information and expertise between the two institutions and enhance the “competitiveness spirit” of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to encourage them to enter the global market. He noted that the deal is also in implementation of the free trade agreement signed between Jordan and Turkey in 2009, which seeks to develop cooperation between SMEs in both countries.
Representatives from Jordan Enterprises Development Corporation (JEDCO) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Monday signed an agreement to implement the Kaizen project that aims at improving quality and productivity of small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), according to a statement by JEDCO.
The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) promoted industry development programmes offered by the European Union to small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) during a workshop at the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce on Monday.
Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) announced on Sunday in a press statement that the deadline for receiving applications for the Development of Exports Programme through the virtual marketplace had been extended to October 30, 2014.
