350 trucks cross into Iraq via reopened border

BAGHDAD — Three hundred and fifty trucks laden with food and medical supplies crossed into Iraq on Saturday via the Treibil border crossing, according to Iraq’s director general of border crossings Essam El Helw.
Iraq reopened its borders with Jordan on Friday after a 10-day closure.
Iraq’s ministry of defence on Saturday temporarily opened the Treibil border crossing between Jordan and Iraq.
Iraq reopened its Treibil border crossing with Jordan on Friday morning and truck and passenger movement was back to normal, an Iraqi customs official said on Saturday.
The Public Security Department (PSD) on Tuesday received a notification from the Iraqi authorities that the Jordanian-Iraqi border will be closed from Iraq’s side through the Treibil crossing as of Wednesday 6:00am.
