AMMAN — A total of 530 Syrians entered the Kingdom on Wednesday night, according to Anmar Hmoud, government spokesperson for Syrian refugee affairs, while 126 refugees were repatriated upon their request. He said the concerned authorities agreed to allow 201 Syrians to leave the Zaatari Refugee Camp on Wednesday after they found Jordanian guarantors. Hmoud noted that the vast majority of refugees at the camp are children and women, standing at 75 per cent, adding that the Cabinet appointed Maj. Gen. Ali Jaradat as president of the committees and official bodies dealing with Syrian refugees in Jordan in a bid to unify their efforts.
