550 kilos of spoiled chicken destroyed in Balqa

SALT — The Balqa health department on Monday destroyed 550 kilogrammes of frozen chicken deemed unfit for human consumption in Ain Al Basha District.
Teams from the Ain Al Basha health monitoring department have been carrying out field visits in the district and at Baqaa Refugee Camp, according to its director, Khaled Al Hiyari.
The Rangers in cooperation with health authorities in Hassa District on Wednesday destroyed 1,100 kilogrammes of spoiled food, including an unspecified quantity of dairy products.
The Balqa Health Department, in cooperation with the Rangers, on Monday destroyed 229 kilogrammes of spoiled red meat found inside a truck owned by a meat distributor.
Greater Karak Municipality health inspectors on Wednesday destroyed around 25 tonnes of mineral water bottles found unfit for human consumption.
