AMMAN — The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) on Monday launched the eighth Princess Basma Award for Human Development and Community.
The prize aims to improve development work and encourage excellence in the field, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The committee supervising the award chose “entrepreneurship” as the main theme for this year.
The award included the annual “Ebtekarthon“, which will be held between August 24 and 26 in conjunction with International Youth Day.
To participate in the award, an enterprise should contain a clear social message that addresses a certain social cause and should reinvest 20 to 40 per cent of its profits to serve the adopted cause, according to Petra.
