AMMAN — Talal Abu Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu Ghazaleh Group, has offered 1,000 scholarships to international certified accountants from the Nineveh Governorate, Iraq, particularly the children of security officers who died during the battle to free Mosul, according to a statement from the organisation.

The grant was announced during Abu Ghazaleh’s meeting with Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Safia Al Suhail, where he congratulated the Iraqi security forces on their victory against extremists in Mosul, the statement said.

Abu Ghazaleh stated that the Talal Abu Ghazaleh Organisation office in Baghdad will make the necessary arrangements with the concerned Iraqi authorities to ensure that the beneficiaries receive the “personal grant, which costs $ 1,000 per student”, under the supervision of the International Arab Society of Certified Accountants, according to the statement.

Abu Ghazaleh has previously offered grants to Palestinian accountants in Jenin and Gaza following the destructive Israeli aggression on these cities, in addition to other free-of-charge services and activities provided to the people in the Occupied Palestinian territories, the statement read.
