AMMAN — The agriculture minister and International Labour Organisation (ILO) on Wednesday signed an agreement for a project worth JD1.5 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The project, which is part of the Jordan Response Plan (JRP) to the Syrian crisis, aims to plant 1,200 trees, and install irrigation networks and dirt ramps alongside roads in all governorates.

Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat, who signed the agreement with the JRP Coordinator Maha Qattaa, said that the project will also enhance rehabilitation of lands for cultivation by digging 120 water wells for a water harvesting programme and building a “modern” green house in Jerash.
