AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat on Thursday received Australian Ambassador Bernard Lynch and stressed the importance of boosting relations with Australia and its continuous support to the Kingdom.
Hneifat said that green investments constitute a priority for Jordan whose resources have been affected by climate change, where the Kingdom suffered from drought over the past two years, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also noted that the Kingdom paid attention early to food security, where it embarked on building horizontal silos that save some 90 per cent of storage costs.
Lynch stressed support to the ministry and its personnel in terms of exchanging expertise to overcome challenges facing the Jordanian agricultural sector.
