AMMAN — The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG) said that the cable car project in Ajloun aims to realise comprehensive economic and social development following His Majesty King Abdullah's directives.

JFDZG Chairman Khalaf Hmeisat said that project commenced in May 2021 and covers a distance of 2,500 kilometres, noting that the project includes 40 cars with a capacity of eight persons each, according to a JFDZG statement.

Hmeisat said that the project is being implemented according to the schedule, noting that work on the project was stalled briefly due to the pandemic.

JFDZG Director General Arwa Hiari said that all towers holding the cable car line were installed. She added that the project will provide 50 job opportunities and other investment projects in the area are expected to generate 700 jobs.
