AMMAN — Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh on Thursday met with Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, where he was briefed on the latest political and economic developments in the Palestinian territories and current inter-Palestinian reconciliation efforts.
Hamdallah commended the ties between the two peoples and voiced his keenness to improve them in various fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He praised Jordan’s continuous support to the Palestinian people and their cause, an effort that will bolster Palestinians’ persistence in countering Israeli continued violations against Palestinians’ holy shrines, properties and rights.
On Wednesday, Shawarbeh visited Hebron and Bethlehem municipalities and discussed means to increase cooperation at the municipal level.
