Amman, Riyadh discuss cooperation in construction, housing

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday asserted Jordan’s readiness to put its expertise in the field of construction and housing at the disposal of Saudi Arabia.
During a meeting with Saudi Minister of Housing Showaish Dowaihi, the premier stressed the strong Jordanian-Saudi relations in all spheres.
Also on Wednesday, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing signed an agreement with the Jordan Construction Contractors Association, under which 1,059 work opportunities in the field of construction will be provided for Jordanians in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.
His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met with Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, speaker of the shura council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and discussed means to expand cooperation between Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
Jordan Investment Commission President Khaled Abu Rabei on Wednesday met with the chairman of the Jordanian-Saudi Business Council and discussed means to boost cooperation ties.
His Majesty King Abdullah and Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz held a summit meeting in Riyadh on Sunday to exchange views on means to strengthen Jordanian-Saudi ties and addressed the latest regional developments.
