Anti-drug police seize 200,000 narcotic pills

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel confiscated 200,000 narcotic pills hidden in a truck, a Public Security Department statement said on Tuesday.
After receiving information, AND cadres followed a suspect who was planning to smuggle illegal pills to another country in a truck. The personnel stopped the truck at a border crossing and in the ensuing search, they found the pills. The officers arrested the suspect and referred him to the prosecutor.
