Arab council approves Kingdom’s initiative on refugee host countries

AMMAN — The Economic and Social Council of the Arab League has adopted Jordan’s initiative to present support to countries hosting Syrian refugees, following a request by Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah during a council meeting on Thursday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.
The council stressed the importance of supporting refugee host countries, especially Syrians, and establishing development projects in these countries to limit the negative social and economic impacts of the crisis. The council decided to refer the recommendations for discussion at the Arab summit Amman is scheduled to host in late March, Petra added.
