Army amends housing loan laws for personnel

AMMAN — Under the directives of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, the Jordan Armed Force — Arab Army (JAF) has completed the amendments to all relevant laws and regulations for the purpose of implementing the Royal makruma (benefication) to increase housing loans for military retirees and serving officers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.

The new housing loans for officers amount to JD30,000 instead of JD20,000, dispersed to 35 officers monthly instead of 30, while it increased the loan amount for soldiers to reach JD15,000, previously JD10,000, and dispersed to around 400 soldiers per month instead of 350. The announcement and dispersal will begin this week.
