AMMAN — Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sabah Al Rafie on Thursday said the ministry is working around-the-clock to secure and facilitate the return of Jordanians, if they wish to do so, from Libya.

In cooperation with the country’s embassies in Libya and Tunisia, the ministry has facilitated the return of 1,100 Jordanians via Libyan airports and the passage of 350 Jordanians who were stranded at the Libyan-Tunisian border crossing at Ras Jedir, she said.

The ministry is exerting all efforts to facilitate the return of more Jordanians.

Around 30 were scheduled to arrive on Thursday while another 100 are expected to return home on Friday through various airlines.

The ministry has urged Jordanians not to travel to Libya in light of the current unrest there.
