AMMAN — The Awqaf Ministry announced on Sunday the opening of the free initial registration for performing Hajj next year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Awqaf Minister Wael Arabiyat decided to open registration as of Monday and until February 12, Petra reported, adding that registration will be available through the website https://hajj.gov.jo. Registration is open for those who have not performed the greater Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca before and for Gazans residing in the Kingdom. Applications this year are going to be free after a recommendation to scrap the JD5 fee was approved by the Awqaf Council.
