Cabinet approves temporary waiver of produce export fees until end of 2019

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday agreed to waiver all fees on agricultural exports until the end of this year, Environment Minister Ibrahim Shehahdeh said in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Shehahdeh added that the decision was made as part of the ministry’s efforts to support farmers and the export sector after its recent survey of farmers’ needs.
He revealed that the ministry will study the various challenges facing the agricultural sector through the Agricultural Partnership Council, as the sector is one of the government’s top priorities.
