Cabinet endorses twinning of Jordanian, French cassation courts

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Monday endorsed a twinning agreement between the Jordanian and French courts of cassation.
The agreement entails exchanges of visits between judges and administrators of both courts.
Jordan and France have previously signed a prisoner exchange agreement and a Treaty of Mutual Assistance on Criminal Matters.
HRH Prince Ali Ben Nayef and HRH Princess Rima Ali had a baby girl on Tuesday, a Royal Court statement indicated. They named the girl Munira.
Some MPs on Sunday called for new constitutional amendments to grant His Majesty King Abdullah exclusive authority to appoint the head of the Higher Judicial Council.
A Royal Decree was issued on Monday, endorsing the Treaty of Mutual Assistance on Criminal Matters that Jordan signed with Britain and Northern Ireland.
