Campaign organised to spread cultural awareness

AMMAN — The Jordan National Commission for Education, Culture and Science has organised a campaign in Petra District to increase cultural heritage awareness, in cooperation with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Ibtisam Ayoub, secretary of the commission, said that the campaign aimed to increase awareness of risks that threaten cultural heritage through activities meant to revive Jordan’s heritage and culture.
Mohammad Horaishat, director of Petra education, stressed the value of heritage, which Horaishat said should be documented for future generations.
