Canada provides RMS with mobile laboratory

AMMAN — Royal Medical Services Director Maj. Gen. Khalaf Sarhan, in the presence of Canada’s Ambassador to Jordan Bruno Saccomani, inaugurated the mobile biological laboratory at King Hussein Medical Centre.
Director of Princess Iman Centre for Laboratory Science and Research, Brig. Gen. Nabih Qaisi, said this laboratory is the first of its kind in Jordan.
He also noted that the laboratory, part of Canada’s assistance to Jordan worth Canadian $1 million, is characterised by advanced technology that can detect dangerous microbes such as the Ebola virus.
