AMMAN — CARE International in Jordan ended its 2017/2018 distribution of winter aid campaign, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.

The NGO said that they distributed aid to some 13,000 beneficiaries in the local community and Syrian refugees, a number higher compared to the previous year.

This year’s campaign targeted 2,895 Jordanian and non-Jordanian families, half of whom are women. CARE said it distributed in-kind aid to 600 families, and urgent cash assistance to 1,606 refugees and 689 local families.

The aid targeted Amman, Mafraq, Zarqa, Irbid and Azraq, as part of the organisation’s humanitarian mission.
