Casino case hearings continue

By Petra - Nov 25,2012 - Last updated at Nov 25,2012

AMMAN — The Amman Criminal Court on Sunday continued to hear testimonies from witnesses in the suspected corruption case known as the “casino file”.

Former health minister Salah Mawajdeh told the court that he did not attend any Cabinet session to discuss plans for a casino at the Dead Sea during Marouf Bakhit’s first government.

He noted that the government of Nader Dahabi discussed the casino file more than once, during which talks focused on how to scrap the agreement without incurring any losses.

Former justice minister Ayman Odeh was delegated by thxze government to consult British lawyers on how to resolve the issue, Mawajdeh indicated.
