AMMAN — Under the patronage of the Basel Tarawneh, the government coordinator for human rights, a conference was organised by the Jordan Better Workplace Association (JBWA) in Amman earlier this week. Around 150 members of Jordan’s civil society and private sector attended the conference, which served to close the JBWA Human Rights 4 You Project.
A number of economic and human rights experts spoke at the conference, with topics covering the new economy, impediments to economic rights in Jordan, reaching an enabling workplace environment in companies, and its role in enhancing competitiveness and growth, and developments in the Jordanian Labour Law.
