AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Monday commended the efforts of Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) staff amidst the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis.

At a meeting with a number of department heads at GAM headquarters, attended by Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh, the Crown Prince conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s appreciation of all GAM workers and their efforts to contain COVID-19, according to a Royal Court statement.

The Crown Prince praised the efforts of all who are working in the field, and who have successfully enabled Jordan to lower the COVID-19 risk level.

Amman Mayor Shawarbeh expressed gratitude for His Majesty’s and the Crown Prince’s support, noting that GAM has been working to disinfect public spaces, clean up hotspots and quarantine areas, provide electronic services to residents, maintain outreach to the public and coordinate with various public institutions, the statement said.
