CSB issues circular for public sector employees on unpaid leave

AMMAN — The Civil Service Bureau (CSB) on Thursday issued a circular to ministries and public departments concerning public sector employees on unpaid leaves, in order to organise public jobs and preserve employees’ rights under the government’s regulations in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
CSB Director Sameh Nasser said that employees who were on unpaid leave that ended during the work suspension will be considered back on duty the day after the end of their leave, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Nasser called on employees who want to extend their unpaid leaves to contact human resources officials at their respective departments to apply for an extension.
