AMMAN — The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) has taken the needed measures to prevent attempts to smuggle gasoline from Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom, JCD Director Maj. Gen. Ghaleb Sarayreh said.

Sarayreh added that the department will intensify surveillance of vehicles transporting gasoline from Saudi Arabia to Jordan and ensure that they do not contain additional tanks.

He noted that the JCD imposes a JD15 fine on vehicles that attempt to smuggle gasoline.
