Czech Republic assumes role of NATO contact point embassy in Jordan

AMMAN — As of the beginning of this year, the Czech Republic assumed the role of NATO contact point embassy in Jordan, a statement from the Czech embassy said on Sunday.
In the years 2009-2012, the Czech Republic played this role in the Republic of Serbia.
The embassy will be NATO’s contact point in the 2013-2014 period.

Kosovo’s march towards independence is gathering pace, with the leaders of Kosovo’s - Hashim Thaci and Agim Ceku - threatening to declare unilateral independence any day now. This is something that Serbia will undoubtedly reject, with the backing of Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
The next few weeks will see the resolution, one way or another, of the last territorial issues remaining in the Balkans, where the wars of the 1990s ended with NATO interventions in Bosnia (1995) and Kosovo (1999).
