Deir Alla family receive keys to new house

AMMAN — The Central Military Zone has completed the construction of a housing unit for an underprivileged family in the Deir Alla area.
Brig. Gen. Mohammad Nawafleh, commander of the zone, presented the family with the keys to their JD21,000 house on the occasion of His Majesty King Abdullah’s 51st birthday.
The zone also distributed 200 food parcels to needy families in the area.
The government is drafting a new law to regulate the administration of the southern Petra Region, a lawmaker told The Jordan Times on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Samir Rifai on Tuesday instructed authorities in Deir Alla to work out "immediate solutions" to the problems in the health, education, services and infrastructure sectors in this Jordan Valley town, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Head of the Southern Military Zone Brig. Gen. Murtada Majali, along with the director general of the Lady of Peace Centre branch in Aqaba Emad Twal, presented wheelchairs to people with disabilities in Aqaba on Tuesday.
