Democratic Socialist Party to participate in polls

AMMAN — The Jordanian Democratic Socialist Party has decided to participate in the January 23 parliamentary elections.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the party said it will form a committee to support its members who are running for local electoral districts.
Leftists and pan-Arab parties agreed to run for the January 23 parliamentary elections under one national list, a leftist leader said on Wednesday.
The Jordan Justice and Reform Party has decided to participate in the January 23 parliamentary elections.
Opposition leaders have suggested that parliamentary elections be delayed until next year, so that the government will have time to draft a new elections law acceptable by all.
