AMMAN — Labour Ministry cadres on Thursday caught dozens of illegal Syrian workers who did not have valid work permits in the capital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The cadres conducted inspection tours on several malls and markets at different times to monitor the labour market, Labour Ministry Spokesperson Mohammad Khatib said, adding that some shops received warnings of closure.
He said that Jordanians have the priority of employment and employers must bear the social and legal responsibilities of employing guest workers.
