Egyptian FM due in Amman Tuesday

AMMAN — Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri is scheduled to start a visit to the Kingdom Tuesday and meet with Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh.
Jordan will be the first leg in Shukri’s tour, which will also take him to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
The Egyptian foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday that Shukri’s discussions in Jordan and Kuwait will cover regional issues, especially the latest developments in Iraq.
Talks will also cover bilateral relations, especially at the political and economic levels.
In Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian official will take part in the meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s executive committee that will discuss the latest developments in Palestine in light of the recent Israeli escalation targeting the Palestinian people.
