EMRC, Yemen Geological Survey Authority discuss cooperation in mining sector

AMMAN — The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) on Sunday held a meeting with the Yemen Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority to discuss regulating the natural resources sector, utilising mineral resources, developing relevant legislation and bolstering cooperation to serve the interests of both countries. 

The meeting was attended by EMRC Member of the Board of Commissioners Wafa Bakhit and Acting Head of the Yemen Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority Ahmad Tamimi, as well as a number of other stakeholders, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The two sides discussed exchanging expertise pertaining to regulating the sector, encouraging investment and providing high-quality, low-cost services and increasing the added value of the mining sector.
