ESC president participates in int’l conference on refugee crisis

AMMAN — Economic and Social Council (ESC) President Munther Sharé has participated in an international conference on refugees migration to Europe and the role of economic and social councils in proposing solutions to the refugee crisis.
According to a statement released by the ESC this week, the conference was held in Bucharest in Romania between June 16 and 17. Sharé delivered a presentation on the burdens Jordan is shouldering due to the Syrian refugee crisis, said the statement, adding that delegations from Jordan, Palestine and Lebanon issued a joint statement calling for ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.
