AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture Khalid Hneifat and Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) representative in Jordan Nabil Assaf on Wednesday discussed joint projects meant to maximise water harvesting efforts under the National Plan for Sustainable Agriculture. Under the plan, a total of 10,000 wells and 60 earth dams and embankments will be introduced, to serve urban water storage and livestock breeders in the Badia and across the governorates, Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Thursday reported citing a ministry statement. Hneifat commended FAO's efforts to develop the Kingdom's agriculture sector.
