AMMAN —  A festival was organised in Irbid’s Bani Kenanah region on Saturday to commemorate the 99th anniversary of Kayed Mufleh Obeidat’s passing.

The festival called for unity against those who will ill intentions on Jordan, in commemoration of Obeidat’s “martyrdom”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Participants underlined the importance of strengthening internal and external fronts to foil any such intentions, as well as the importance of holding the line on the Jerusalem frontier and the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in the occupied city, Petra said.

The festival featured a documentary on the Arab struggle, according to Petra, written by the president of the Hartha Municipal Council, Hani Obeidat.
