AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and members of the Senate's Palestine Committee on Wednesday discussed the latest regional political developments.

Acting Senate President Marouf Bakhit, in the presence of head of the panel Senator Haya Garalleh, commended the Jordanian role in preserving the Arab identity of Jerusalem, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Garalleh praised the Kingdom political efforts in maintaining Palestinians' rights and preserving the holy city's Islamic and Christian holy sites. Safadi highlighted the "high-level" of Arab cooperation and coordination in facing the repercussions of the US decision on Jerusalem, and in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the two-state solution, international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
