AMMAN — President of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Committee Yousef Shawarbeh on Monday issued a directive to not issue any new licences to serve argileh in tourist restaurants and cafés.
The directives, based on a June 18th Cabinet decision, include renewal of previous licences for the same location, regardless of a change in ownership, provided that no previous fines had been issued against these establishments, as well as on the condition that they rectify their status by the end of this year.
