Geologists Association reelects Ensour as president

AMMAN — Sakher Ensour on Friday was elected president of the Jordan Geologists Association for the second time, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The election, organised at the Professional Associations Complex, saw Ensour obtain 286 votes against 47 for his opponent Abullah Alawneh and 27 for Omar Tahat.
The Karamah list, headed by Ensour, won seven seats out of eight. Some 13 candidates competed for membership of the association. The number of member geologists that voted was 1250 members, according to Petra.
