Girl arrested for suspected assault of pedestrian

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested a girl for allegedly assaulting a pedestrian from a vehicle, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.

A video posted on social media this week purportedly showed the alleged assault and the pedestrian filed a complaint with police.

The suspect, who was arrested along with three other people who were with her in a vehicle, claimed that her action was meant to be “just for fun”. A security source told Petra that the case will be referred to the courts.
