Gov’t to contribute JD525,000 to support Tkiyet Um Ali food security programme

AMMAN — The Ministry of Planning International Cooperation and Tkiyet Um Ali on Wednesday signed an agreement to fund the third phase of the food security programme, targeting impoverished areas of the country.
The ministry will contribute JD525,000 to reinforce economic and social productivity for 2018, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Planning Minister Mary Kawar, who signed the agreement, said that it serves the advancement of His Majesty’s directives to ensure a decent life for all people and improve the standard of living in all governorates.
Director General of Tkiyet Um Ali Samer Balqer said that this agreement is the best example of government-civil society partnership.
