Hammad discusses elections with US delegation

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Tuesday met with a delegation from the US National Democratic Institute (NDI), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The delegates are visiting the Kingdom to check on preparations for the September 20 parliamentary elections. Hammad said the Independent Election Commission is responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of the polls. The roles of the government
and the Interior Ministry are limited to providing logistic and security support, the minister said.
