Health minister checks on services, projects in Tafileh

AMMAN — Health Minister Ghazi Zaben on Thursday said that developing healthcare services in Tafileh, 180km southwest of Amman, is one of the ministry’s top priorities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Zaben gave directives during his visit to provide Al Hassa Medical Centre with the specialised physicians, such as internists and pediatricians, among others, as well as increasing the working hours of the centre.
He also gave instructions to conduct maintenance to Al Qadisiah Medical Centre in the governorate. He checked on the progress the building of the new location of Tafileh Public Hospital, at a total cost of JD34 million, noting that the project would be a “qualitative leap” for healthcare services in Tafileh.
