Hours of operation announced for main exit gate at Jaber border centre

AMMAN — Jaber Border Centre Director Lt. Col. Imad Ryalat on Friday said that the main exit gate at the Jaber border centre will be closed by 3pm, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He said that official working hours finish at 4pm under an agreement with the Syrian side, adding that closing the departure gate will help accomplish various transactions without resulting in any delay for passengers.
The head of Sarhan Municipality stated that the municipality decided to exempt clearance companies working at the centre from the licence fees for the years when the borders were closed, adding that they were also exempted from this year's fees in order to boost the businesses.
