AMMAN – Interior Minister Mazen Qadi on Tuesday met with US Security Coordinator for Israel and the Palestinian Authority Lt. Gen. Frederick S. Rudesheim and discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of police and security, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The two officials also discussed latest developments in the region, Petra added. Qadi stressed the importance of supporting Jordan’s efforts to achieve security and stability in the region.

Also on Tuesday, Qadi met with USAID Mission Director in Amman Jim Barnhart and an accompanying delegation. They discussed regional issues and reviewed the projects implemented by the USAID in the Kingdom.

Qadi briefed the delegation on the Decentralisation Law and the technical and financial needs to implement the project.

Holding training workshops for the ministry’s cadres and organising visits to countries implementing decentralisation were among possible cooperation aspects.
