Irbid industrialists contest chamber election results

AMMAN — Several industrialists and candidates on Monday contested the results of the Irbid Chamber of Industry’s elections at the Administrative Court, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.

A number of candidates presented the electoral contestation claiming that many violations occurred in forming the election commission ahead of polls, which affected the results and had a negative impact on Irbid’s industrial sector.

The objection included violations of industry chambers laws and regulations by allowing people to vote while not elligible to cast ballots.
