AMMAN — Irbid Health Director Riyadh Shayyab on Monday refuted any link between the death of a person who received a coronavirus vaccine on Monday and complications resulting from the jab, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He stressed that the report issued by the North Region Forensics Department indicated that the cause of the death was due to severe bleeding in the stomach as a result of a bleeding ulcer and the presence of blood pooling in the stomach, forming a very large clot.
He said that the patient suffered from cancer and his medical history confirms the presence of heart diseases, adding that the patient had previously undergone an open-heart surgery.
The health director highlighted that the medical staff, since the passing of the patient, have followed up on the case to ascertain its causes, with direct supervision from Irbid Governor Radwan Atoum, pointing out that the case was not referred to the Public Prosecutor.
