Israel to conduct experimental blasts on border

AMMAN — Israeli troops will conduct experimental blasts on Thursday at what is known as the “zero” area near the Jordanian-Israeli border north of Aqaba city, according to the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).
The operation, which will begin at 11:00am and end at 3:00pm, aims to “measure the effect of blasts” on the nearby areas, according to the JAF source, who noted that Jordan has requested that the Israelis ensure that their operations do not threaten public safety.
Israeli troops began conducting a military drill on Wednesday at the triangular border of Israel-Syria-Jordan, or what is known as Tal Khaled area, according to the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).
Israeli troops next week will work on removing and detonating 13 anti-tank mines near its borders in the area opposite to the Qarn and Raihaneh areas on the western borders, according to the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).
Israeli troops will work on removing 341 anti-tank mines in an area opposite the Manshieh area in the Northern Ghor this week, according to the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).
