JAF foils infiltration attempt at northern border

AMMAN — Troops in the Northern Military Zone have foiled an attempt by an individual to infiltrate the Kingdom from Syria, an official military source in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Wednesday.
The source said that the army personnel applied the rules of engagement, leading to the arrest of the suspect, who was referred to the relevant security authorities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The source added that the army will apply “full force” to thwart any infiltration or smuggling attempts to protect the Kingdom’s borders and citizens.
