JEDCO signs agreements to help SMEs export products

AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) on Tuesday signed agreements to support small- and medium-sized industrial companies in cooperation with the International Trade Centre, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Agreements were signed in line with the Export Development Project through virtual markets funded by the World Bank and Transitions Fund for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in partnership with the Deauville initiative.
Under the agreements, exportation experts trained to work with companies using e-commerce, will help enterprises sell their products through virtual markets to increase their exports.
JEDCO Acting CEO Mohammad Al Mheirat said that they will work with eight exportation experts to coordinate with 23 enterprises representing various industrial sectors. Enterprises will be given the opportunity to register to virtual markets such as Alibaba, Amazon, and eBay for free.
