AMMAN — The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) on Thursday screened a film to mark the International Day for Universal Access to Information.

The film focused on the political, economic and cultural importance of enabling people to access information, the JMI said in a statement.

Sakher Khasawneh, a lecturer at JMI, stressed the importance of the right to information, noting that Jordan was one of the first Arab country to draft a law for access to information in 2007.
